Music Under The Oaks with The Merles
Saturday August 27th
The Merles are an original, classic country band based out of Austin, TX featuring Todd Deatherage, Mike Simms, Phil Spencer, and Matt Winegardner. The group strives to create an old school, traditional sound that echoes the memories of yesterday's country. With catchy choruses and danceable tunes, their influences include Bob Wills, Hank Williams, Lefty Frizzell, George Strait, and their namesake, Merle Haggard.
Their debut record, Hate To Say Goodbye (2017), was recorded and engineered by Britton Beisenhertz at Ramble Creek Studios in Austin, TX. The album was produced by Britton Beisenhertz and The Merles, and contains 14 original songs about heartache, love lost, honky-tonks, and well, drinking. Guest artists include Basil McJagger (The Derailers), Geoff Queen (Hayes Carll), Eddie Dickerson (Curtis Grimes), and Michael St. Clair (Polyphonic Spree). Their newest EP, Middle of the Night (2020), was recorded, mixed, and produced by Don Cento (Sarah Jaffe) at Centones. This recording was started pre-COVID and finished in the midst of the pandemic via remote and socially distant recording. It contains six songs about insomnia, anxiety, depression, and loneliness. An amazing cast of regulars also appears on this recording - Chris McElrath (James Hand) on guitar, Ileana Nina (Drew Fish) on fiddle, Sarah Ulloa (Rent Party) on backing vocals, and bassist Justin Filor on soaring high harmonies.07:00 PM - 09:00 PM

Friday Night Live with Christine Renner
Friday September 2nd
Christine's music is romantic and relatable with undertones of anthemic rock & roll. Listening to her songs feels like reading a journal entry about someone you used to love. Nostalgic of the past, yet finding solace in the outcome. Christine maintains the lyrical, poetic vulnerability all great songwriters carry while sonically providing us with edgy instrumentations and arrangements connecting the musical dots between Taylor Swift and Led Zeppelin. Is it still 1980...???

Friday Night LIve with Memphis Kee
Friday November 11th
"What kind of music do y'all play?" One of the hardest questions for a musician to answer. And when there is no clear label that is accurate, you must create a new term. "Shred Dirt."
Memphis Kee is a country rock band that is defined by the combination of witty, storytelling lyrics over screaming guitar and a grooving rhythm section. Every show is different. Heck, songs are different from show to show. Their debut EP "6th & San Jacinto" was made on shoestring budget but now has over 100k streams on Spotify alone. They garnered the attention of FM radio stations as far as the UK and even the international scotch company, Dewars, receiving a sponsorship. Memphis Kee just finished tracking their debut full length record over 6 days at the iconic Yellow Dog Studios with 5 time Grammy award winning producer Adam Odor. The record will also feature a couple of Texas music scene stars as special guests. The LP should be out in the summer of 2022.07:00 PM - 09:00 PM
